The Obama family is OUT! They won’t be there. They’re not coming. They’re not invited. And there’s nothing they can do to change it. They are done and will be off minding their own business while Prince Harry weds Meghan Markle. That’s right folks, the Obama family is not invited to the Royal Wedding, and that might be the funniest news that people have read in a long time. Can you imagine what’s going on in their head right now? According to reports, it’s said that Prince Harry and Barack Obama are friends. Isn’t that sweet? Barry and Harry hanging out like an uncle and a nephew. But Harry won’t let Barry come to his wedding. That must be awkward for their bromance. How can they continue being friends when Harry won’t even send them an invite?
Just imagine yourself as a former President of the United States. You have a beautiful home. You have a beautiful set of armed guards. Your salary and benefits are complimentary. You don’t have to do anything the rest of your life except find something to waste your time on and stop yourself from being bored. Now imagine you’re the former President and your so-called “friend” won’t invite you to his wedding. Wouldn’t that make you mad? I would be livid. I would think my friend has no guts. I would think my friend wasn’t my friend. I would be distraught if my “friend” failed to include me as a guest at their wedding.
Now there are a few reasons why the Obama family wasn’t invited to the Royal Wedding. One reason is that it could be because Harry doesn’t like Barry. They’re just friendly on camera for public relations and they’re not friends. Another reason is that it supposedly would upset diplomatic ties with the United States, which I don’t understand. People in America could not care less what Barack Obama does in his spare time. If he wants to go to a wedding, then that’s his choice. He can show up anywhere he wants as long as he acts responsibly and doesn’t tarnish the reputation of the United States with another apology tour or show of weakness. A third possibility is that Meghan Markle won’t allow Harry and Barry to hang out. Maybe she thinks it’s weird that Harry would want to hang out with someone nearly twice his age.
Daily Mail reports:
“according to royal biographer Duncan Larcombe, it’s extremely unlikely that the Obamas will get an invite as the couple will heed the advice of the Foreign Office not to do anything to upset diplomatic ties with the US.
Reports have suggested that the Foreign Office is nervous about upsetting current president Donald Trump, who has still not visited the UK in an official capacity or met the Queen.
Additionally, the royal family is supposed to remain neutral and above politics and no foreign heads of state were invited to Kate and William’s wedding in 2011.
‘There were religious leaders, members of the royal family, and commonwealth countries that were invited, ‘he told townandcountry.com.
‘I suspect that will be the same blueprint that Meghan and Harry will use. ‘It’s all very carefully orchestrated to make sure that there’s no political overtones.”
No political overtones? That’s a good thing, I suppose. Too bad they don’t believe that in the NFL or Hollywood. Obama isn’t President anymore, and it’s not like anyone’s listening to him right now. If he were at the wedding, then it wouldn’t affect us unless Obama is overseas causing trouble at the Royal Wedding.
At one point Prince Harry was asked if Barack Obama and family would be in attendance at the wedding. Prince Harry avoided the question and perturbed us with a bit of mystery. He skipped giving us the real answer and provided us an answer that reeks of “you’ll just have to wait and see” which may have been a ploy to keep us paying attention.
Daily Mail continued:
“Harry himself dodged the question of whether Mr Obama will be on the guest list or not when quizzed about it during his guest editorship of the Today programme on BBC Radio 4
We haven’t put the invites or the guest list together yet, so who knows whether he’s going to be invited or not,” the British royal, 33, told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme when he guest edited the show on December 27.
‘I wouldn’t want to ruin that surprise.”
Harry is so silly. No wonder Meghan is all giggly for him. Harry and Barry would be great on a sitcom where Meghan Markle spends her days wondering what she got into.
I suppose the Barry and Harry duet at the end of Markle’s wedding won’t happen after all. The other good thing is that Michelle Obama won’t complain about the food and try to bring her bland cafeteria lunches.
Can you imagine how horrible that would be? A yucky lunch plate served at the Royal Wedding! Meghan Markle wouldn’t let that get anywhere near her party!
